Smoker Cessation Training – Learn how to quit for good
There have been many studies that show that hypnotherapy is the best way to help people give up smoking. Perhaps the most well-known and certainly the largest is a study by the University of Iowa which covered 72,000 smokers/ex-smokers from across Europe and America. Reviewing 600 previous studies this piece of meta-analysis demonstrated that hypnotherapy is the best way to become free from this life shortening habit (New Scientist Volume 136).
Part of the reason hypnotherapy is so successful, is that it works with the subconscious part of the brain that creates, and relies on habits. The physical addiction to nicotine is only about 10% of the problem and ex-smokers overcome this addiction in less than a week. It is the mind that causes the greatest challenge. This explains why people often stop smoking for a lot longer than this, only to succumb to a craving that appears long after the physical addiction has disappeared.
