Lee Johnston is both an accomplished short circuit
and pure road-racing competitor from Maguiresbridge
in Northern Ireland, just 3 mile from TCTS Group’s
Headquarters in Lisnaskea, and who took second place in the
Supertwin TT at the Isle of Man’s 2022 races, following
an enforced two-year hiatus for the event due to Covid
The charismatic Ulsterman already clinched his first IOMTT victory in 2019, which came in style as he held off an illustrious chasing pack of James Hillier, Peter Hickman, Dean Harrison and Michael Dunlop in the Supersport class.
Lee has also had substantial success on home soil, with Superstock wins at the North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix bolstered by two UGP Supersport victories – making it a memorable Dundrod hat-trick – back in 2015, the year when he also scored a breakthrough first podium at the Isle of Man TT in the highly-competitive
Superstock class.
Prior to that Johnston had become a regular front runner in the British Supersport class and established himself as one of International Road Racing’s leading competitors, scoring a double in the Supertwin class
at the North West 200 in 2014, followed up by an impressive Superbike podium at the Ulster Grand Prix.
Laying the ground for these specialist competitions, Lee honed his skills in top-flight British championship racing, winning the Junior Superstock title in 2008 and gaining an army fans on both sides of the Irish Sea and beyond, which continues to grow as the sport reaches an ever increasing global audience.
